Wasn’t exactly what I thought it was going to be, but I still really enjoyed it. I really loved the directing style here, it was great for a debut film from B.J. Novak.  There were quite a few monologues in here that were really amazing. To be fair, i’m a sucker for dramatic monologues, but I still think these were really good. To contrast those dramatic monologues, we get treated with some very funny bits sprinkled throughout. The cast was pretty solid, I think everyone did a good job. The ending to the main story was a bit rushed in my opinion but I really like how the actual movie ended. 7.5/10

There’s a lot to like here, and Novak acquits himself in all of the positions he fills. Some of the satire is really obvious, but it’s still good. One of the first big things I can think of to tackle the “True Crime” culture, to what effect is debatable, but I appreciate the effort.
