Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in this fun and surprising mix of comedy and action with a silly premise that would really only work with the man himself in the picture. Kindergarten Cop goes from funny, to intense, to almost profound in the way it slips in its heavy topics of single parenting and the effects on the children. Mostly, the film is there to watch Arnie handle a bunch of erratic kids and turn them into a class of cadets, which honestly runs pretty smoothly within its compelling adult side of the film about a drug lord who looks like a second hand Val Kilmer. 3.4/5
