depois de assistir la la land mais de 10x e iniciar uma nova obsessão pelo meu novo ídolo james dean, eu finalmente assisti juventude transviada. posso dizer que o filme começou perfeito e durou até mais ou menos 1h e pouca, depois disso a história tomou um rumo que não foi mais suficiente pra ter meu foco e interesse total no que acontecia. um dos motivos foi o núcleo do jim e da judy que eu achei completamente desinteressante e executado de forma preguiçosa. fora isso, personagens como o platão deram uma força a mais no enredo. como o primeiro filme do james dean que eu assisti, acredito que tenha sido a melhor opção como porta de entrada pra conhecer o seu trabalho e me acostumar com seus próximos projetos que pretendo ver. ouvi pouco sobre sua história tanto dentro das telonas quanto fora, mas foi o suficiente pra despertar em mim um interesse enorme de me aprofundar em sua carreira.

Watching classics for the first time in theaters is such an amazing experience. Thanks to TCM this year, I've been able to watch some classics that I wouldn't have seen earlier, but luckily caught while they were in theaters. Rebel Without a Cause is a film that I've been meaning to watch for years, but didn't have the proper motivation to watch, that was until it was released this month from TCM. I'm so glad that I was able to catch this film in theaters, since it really is one of the greats. It's a film that still stands the tests of time, being relevant, even if much of the high school dynamics are outdated. It's also always a treat to see the mansion from Sunset Boulevard featured in another iconic film. After seeing this film, I really do need to catch up on my classic American films, since this one was fantastic.
