The Family Plan
Such a wholesome and refreshing movie. The story is simple and the action is pretty decent but the character arcs and the connection between the spouses make it so real and enjoyable to watch. Surprisingly heartfelt and way funnier than the title makes it sound. It balances family drama and midlife chaos really well. The performances carry the whole thing - everyone feels grounded, messy and real (the best part). The chemistry between Mark and Michelle is genuinely great and I loved those cute little husband-wife fights. They had a really cool bond in this film. The two kid actors also absolutely killed it. Don’t expect too much from this movie. Overall, it’s not reinventing anything but it’s warm, charming and quietly emotional in a way that sneaks up on you. A comfy, well-acted watch that feels like a refreshment. You’ll genuinely end up happy and in a good mood after finishing it.
