Such a triumph to see a fast range of emotions dip in and out during a two hour span of a film shot in one take. Much applause to Laia Costa who succeeded in keeping us sweaty-palmed at the edge of our seats. The film could have gut-punched us while keeping a small part of our consciousness if the first act didn't fall flat so much. What felt like charmed and affectionate introductions lost themselves in yawns and everyday mundaninity confused for sentimental realism.
