Incident
"The fuck yall need the yellow tape for? You know what y'all did! That's why the goddam officer y'all whisked him away!" This horrific documentary does not shy away from the incident. The way the officers pulled the victim card—shuffling their stories to avoid appearing as the bad guys and creating false accounts to escape accountability—is truly disgusting and cowardly behavior. An innocent Black man, who was just a barber, was shot in the middle of the street with no explanation. He did not scratch a woman's hand or harm anyone; he was simply pulling out his gun license when confronted. However, the officers not only grabbed him forcefully but shot him five times, all while trying to portray themselves as the "good guys." (ACAB)
Incident
unbelievably difficult to watch
Incident
I am so confused. I know I’m in the minority, but I just don't get it. He tried to pull a gun on a police officer. That is something you should never do. Like one of them said, if you try to shoot an officer then the officer will shoot you. The officer saw what appeared to be a weapon on Snoop. They attempted to stop and question him about it, more than likely making sure he had the proper permit. The decision by the officer to lung towards Snoop was egregiously incompetent and I fear may have been the tipping point for this incident. That being said, if an officer is trying to detain you, no matter whether you think it is justified or unjustified, you should never resist or struggle or run or reach for anything. If you're not guilty then you have no reason to panic. In the aftermath, I the "turn your bodycam off" moments are very suspicious and those officers should be reprimanded. I know the footage and this documentary are supposed to paint the picture of this shooting being unjustified, but I just don't see it. It is without a doubt a horrible situation and that man should not have died that day.
Incident
ACAB Absolutely harrowing and vile, the way the police department is so quick to defend, justify, and conceal the truth behind this murder is absolutely why there are no good cops. The way they repeat over and over the same lie, tell themselves they are good people, and go on to face no consequences is so fucked up. The presentation is simple and revealing, the chaos and senselessness of it all, an event that could have so easily been avoided if it wasn't for the rash actions of trigger-happy paranoid cops. Was tearing up at the end absolutely shocking and injust. They killed a father and a valued community member over nothing, and got away with it, rip Harith Augustus, fuck the police.
