Chinatown
An interesting story with a brilliant Jack Nicholson performance, strange ending and maybe a reflection on how Polanski felt at the time.
Chinatown
Chinatown is a sharp and stylish noir film with a gripping mystery and a fantastic performance by Jack Nicholson. The atmosphere is tense, and the story unfolds with just the right amount of twists and turns. The film reminds me of an Alfred Hitchcock film, and as a huge fan of his, I like this one too. Overall, Chinatown is an intelligent, haunting, and beautifully crafted detective film that will stay with you forever.
Chinatown
“Forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown.”
Chinatown
The cold sinking sensation of dread I felt during the last few minutes of this film...visceral. You want so badly to whisk the characters away to safety and prevent them from stumbling to the conclusion you see coming, but you can't. You just can't. Forget it, it's Chinatown.
