Such assured, cinematic movement. This was a fun one. Genre play all spritzed up and ready to make waves. The elation I felt when the initial drama "resolves", only to realize another hour remains. Love it when a film has total follow through past where a more standard showing would feel fit to plaster "The End" and call it a day. No, there are far more compelling things around the bend, always around the bend, just out of sight.

A multi-layered tapestry that slowly reveals more and more, weaving together to create a spellbinding romance that, once sparked, burns out of control. Simply put, this is yet another stunning film from one of the most dynamic directors working today. Once it gets its hooks in you, it is hard to shake Decision to Leave. It can be difficult to put your faith in a story as wild as this one is, but go into it knowing that Chan-wook is in full control, let yourself go, and enjoy this absolutely wild film.
