faster and faster. and for a long time you wouldn't feel anything. and then you'd burst into fire. forever ⁺໒꒱ིྀ༝ ⊹ i bought this movie years ago and im so sad that i held off watching it until now. it gave so much depth to laura palmer. my heart is shattered. she was failed miserably by everyone around her. the last scene is beautiful beyond words, no ending will ever compare ⊹ rest in peace, david lynch. thank u for creating stories and characters with vast meaning. cinema will never be the same without u ︎︎︎♡

Finally came to this after a Twin Peaks rewatch, and now well into the Return. Immersed in the all-of-it, I had blanked on so much that transpires. Lot of thoughts I don't know what to do with. Real beast of a multi-decade work, just letting it flood the basement for now.

Volver a FWWM hoy es entender que nunca fué el “apéndice oscuro” de la serie, sino su corazón roto, literal y figurativamente. Lo que inicialmente parecía caótico (desde haber conocido toda Twin Peaks desde esta peli sin conocimiento alguno) ahora se siente brutalmente claro: una tragedia íntima disfrazada de horror surrealista, como solo Lynch sabía hacerlo. Sigue siendo incómoda, devastadora y emocionalmente abrasiva, pero también una de las piezas más valientes del realizador —menos interesada en el misterio, sino más bien, en el dolor humano detrás de él. No se vuelve más fácil con el tiempo… solo más necesaria.
