Holland

Wait, this is actually pretty good, Nicole Kidman step up the game after babygirl. I thought this was just a story about an ordinary affair, but it turned out to be more than that, even though the plot felt slow, I felt nervous and wondered what would happen next. Holland, Michigan is a lovely place to stay isn't it?

Holland

The only good thing about Holland is watching Gael García and Matthew Macfadyen. Nicole Kidman, girl, everything okay at home? Or why choose two back-to-back roles as a dissatisfied and unfaithful wife? Plus, both movies are awful. I have a genuine question: is it illegal to write fully developed characters, or why did Mimi Cave decide to have NPCs as protagonists? Seriously, I was disappointed. I expected much more from the director of Fresh. It has an incredible cast, a beautiful setting, and a great visual style, but the script is terrible, the characters are awful, the story is super generic, and the pacing eventually becomes predictable and boring. The script tries to sound deep, but in the end, it says nothing new. While Fresh had a vibrant energy and a script that kept up the tension, Holland feels like a dry version of something we’ve already seen before. Did I already mention that the best part is watching Gael García and Matthew Macfadyen? Yes? Alright :)
