Diary Entry forOnce Upon a Time in the West
Although not on the same level as the Dollars trilogy, this is still a fantastic film. The acting, score and direction is all great, as you’d expect with this cast and crew. The whole thing feels so dirty, and that’s just as I’d imagine the Wild West to be. A classic stand off makes this a real stand out, and blurring the lines between good and bad make for a very enjoyable watch. Oh, and the 2 hour 45 minute run time flew by.

Once Upon a Time in the West
this movie was phenomenal. the score (WOW), the camera work, the attention to detail, the story, the script, the cast, the opening scene, the final act (and more specifically the last 25 minutes). no wonder this is a classic masterpiece.
Once Upon a Time in the West
Once Upon a Time in the West is a beautifully shot and masterfully directed Western with an unforgettable score and strong performances. The pace is slow, but it creates incredible tension and atmosphere. Overall, Once Upon a Time in the West is a classic that rewards patience with style, mood, and impact. I'm also a big fan of trains in films, and this one certainly does. If you like Westerns, this is definitely a must-see.
Once Upon a Time in the West
Once Upon a Time in the West is a very beautiful movie. It starts a bit slow, but this slow beginning builds tension and makes the film more and more exciting as it goes on. I really liked the presence and aura of some of the characters, and the ending was especially great. Overall, I think this movie is an excellent western with more than one strong character, which makes it even more interesting and memorable.
Once Upon a Time in the West
Filmmaking at its finest. Sergio Leone is known for his westerns, but it’s taken me ages to finally watch one of them, and boy am I glad that I did. Once Upon a Time in the West creates a gritty world that doesn’t take anything lightly. It’s a mean, gritty film, which transforms when paired with Ennio Morricone’s score. I’ve heard so much about the score of this film, which is rightfully deserving of the recognition, since it makes this film into a great one. Westerns have been the genre that has been the hardest for me to get into, but I have a feeling that if I watch a few more from Leone, I may start to genuinely enjoy them. Once Upon a Time in the West really is one of the film greats, I’m just glad that I didn’t wait any longer to enjoy this film.
