Diary Entry forCavalcade
On my quest to watch every best picture winner this was one of, if not, the least excited I’ve been to watch a film. I can now confirm, this is extremely boring. Lots of things happened but it feels like nothing really happened at all. The best scene is when the newlyweds are on a boat celebrating their marriage and talking about their future, for the film to then reveal the name of the ship ‘Titanic’. It was a bruh moment but a funny one. Still though this film isn’t bad and actually does a lot of anti-war, which I think is great. The song Fanny sings is also pretty good. This should’ve been at least 30 minutes shorter and it would’ve actually been pretty good, but it’s not and it drags heavily.

during my best picture marathon i’ve tried to finish every one, figuring if i did it for the bond movies i could do it for these. i almost turned off broadway melodyand cimarronbut made it through—not the case here. might actually be the most boring, useless, shitty movie i’ve seen.
