The Innocents

Eu amo crianças, crianças são seres puros, inocentes. Eles merecem ser amados e protegidos. Uma governanta aceita o trabalho de cuidar de dois órfãos que vivem numa mansão isolada do tio que não tem muito interesse nas crianças e só quer se ver livre. Porém o trabalho aparentemente simples fica um pouco mais complexo com a chegada brusca do jovem Miles que foi expulso da escola por algum motivo, junto com a presença sinistra de espíritos macabros. Um filme que explora de forma muito satisfatória o ambiente, o tema de inocência transplantada pra imagem da criança pra falar sobre culpa cristã quanto a sexualidade e principalmente como a imagetica da infância é algo sagrado que deve ser protegido a qualquer custo em prol dessa culpa. Somado com a direção afiada que utiliza de close ups com personagens ao fundo que contrastando a desconfiança de quem está longe com a certeza das falas de sua protagonista, esse aqui é um clássico que merece ser visto e revisto por ser tão bom e emblemático quanto sua narrativa e metáforas.

The Innocents

The Innocents looks into the isolation of two children and the few people they come in contact with, as they deal with a possible haunting. This film was gorgeously shot. Some scenes took my breath away, as they were so beautiful. The acting was superb, especially the kids. This movie is extremely creepy, due to the amazing atmosphere created and the children themselves. The Innocents is an amazing haunted house feature that doesn't have any jump scares, but rather a fantastic atmosphere that makes you question if the house is truly haunted or it's just your imagination.
