Step one, have really strong villain almost kill Gohan. Step two, have piccolo save Gohan last minute, only to then get absolutely annihilated himself. Step three, have everyone give their power to Goku so he can save the day. Every one of these are almost the same and it’s getting so repetitive and annoying.  Other than that this is okay. Broly is cool, with a great design and green is a cool Saiyan colour. His back story is nothing short of awful though, he hates Goku because he remembers him crying as a child? Like what? The animation is the best part of this, with Gokus Instant Transmission being a highlight. I feel this could’ve been so much better with good writing and a plot which made sense. Oh wait, this did happen in 2019 and the remake is far better, who’d of thought.
