Diary Entry forA Beautiful Mind
I liked the twist and the direction the movie went, Biopics make for some of the most entertaining watches and this is no different. Sure, it’s by no means perfect, and I wasn’t entirely sold on Crowes performance, but overall the film was entertaining and the pacing made it go by very fast.

A Beautiful Mind
79/100 Holy mother of twist. Things you can cinematically when dealing with a schizophrenic character. Movie definitely got better as it went on. Started off too cheesy and felt like Crowe went full retard. But his true performance was acting the sick man, the paranoid man, not the mathematician. And as much as I love Russell Crowe, I’ll admit I watched this movie because I wanted to see Jennifer Connelly at her prime and it is magnificent but that’s not just in terms of her beauty but her acting as well. She was phenomenal throughout, not just some muse, a strong, supportive and emotional human. I’ve read many-a-times that Crowe deserved the Oscar for this but they gave it to Denzel instead. After seeing this, I agree but despite the whole corruption issue that year, I somehow understand Denzel getting the Oscar, sometimes the most charismatic character leaves a lasting impression. The Nash humour is underrated. I looked up Nash’s life and I’m really glad he recovered and got back with his wife. That’s true love. They went off together too. Also I saw Bryce Dallas Howard wow. And Ed Harris please for the love of god, stop trying to make people live in a false reality! Ultimately, I think this is a well-written and a well-directed film with a good soundtrack. Almost brought a tear to me eye.
