Diary Entry forInferno
Beautiful colour palette, the sequel to Suspiria isn’t quite as entertaining but still a decent horror. To me, it did the original justice but didn’t expand on the themes on the first, it felt almost like a re-make at times. Still, it has good moments and it’s worth a watch.

Inferno
Inferno
Argento has done it again. And he's most likely done it many times before. What he's done is create a beautifully shot world of witchcraft and mystery that is stunning. Inferno focuses on a woman who finds a book, talking of witch covens in the cities that her and her brother live in. She's bound on finding these witches, going through a beautifully colored fantasy world that kept on getting better, until and explosive finale that left me breathless. Like Suspiria, Argento's use of color was extraordinary. The blues and reds contrasting against each other were visual candy. I felt myself soaking up this fantasy world, absolutely loving everything about it. Granted, I did get a tad confused near the end, but it ended up straightening itself up. I can't wait to revisit this, as well as Argento's other works, since this was just superb. Inferno is another classic horror worthy of becoming one of the greats.
Inferno
Night 16 of 31 Nights of Halloween For the most part, I had forgotten a majority of the plot of Inferno, so watching this again was like watching it for the first time. And, what a beauty this is. It truly does feel like it is in the same vein as Suspiria, offering a little more subtle coloring, but still remarkable lighting, and unforgettable effects. Argento truly is a maestro of horror, and I’m very happy to see that MUBI has decided to highlight him this Halloween season, as he truly deserves it. I may just have to watch the other selections from him on there as well, since this film really has put me in the Argento mood.
Inferno
it’s no suspiria , of course. it definitely feels more disjointed but man if it isn’t a well shot film. the lighting is absolutely stunning, as expected.
