The slow build leads to an even more suspenseful ending, with a plot which slowly draws you in more and more as time goes on. A classic of cinema and beautiful in every way.

Rear Window

Yeaahhh, the first Hitchcock for a very young photo-hound breakfastcowl and probably still my favorite Hitchcock. That blasted SET. Our blasted COMPLICITY. The blasted solitary cigarette burning in the abyss. The natural charm of Stewart's deliveries always make me forget how much of a shithead Jefferies is lmao

Rear Window

Rear Window captivated me from start to finish. The suspense is created primarily by the observation from a distance and one's own imagination. James Stewart is incredibly believable as the nosy neighbor, and you really feel for him as the situation escalates. The story shows how quickly one can get lost in one's thoughts – and how dangerous that can sometimes be. Hitchcock is simply a master at combining atmosphere and thrills. A true classic!
