Better than the first sequel but not really close to the original, Cars 3 is mid. Not really bad, and nowhere near as annoying as the second one, but still this lacks any real emotion. The animation is fantastic though and some of the best Pixar have done. Shame the story felt so boring and uninspired.

such a fitting end to the franchise, I really miss the version of myself when I first watched this movie. Brings back soo many memories ♥️♥️♥️

Complicates the cosmology of this strange universe even more. Out laps the other two by a pretty wide margin, at least in what would interest me as an aging crank, and (thankfully) behaves as if the second one doesn't even exist. I have to wonder if I was a kid watching this would I even find it an entertainment? It's a very "quiet" feature on the whole with all kinds of time allowed for dialogues and drive-alongs. Generic as its introspective findings may be, it's the kind of allowance usually found in straight dramas rather than major animated features scaffolded by immense frameworks of merchandise and media saturation.
