Obi Wan-Kenobi Episode 1: Very strong start, CGI looks great and the acting is fantastic, Princess Leia is a very good child actor. The chase scene was pretty awful though, asif they struggled to keep up with her. Still, a very strong start.  Episode 2: Fantastic. Very cool, CGI amazing and it really feels like what Star Wars should be. As a franchise it’s so hit and miss, so to see something great is always a treat. Obi needs to do some training though.  Episode 3: What an episode. Reminds you how good Star Wars can be. The lightsaber battle, cinematography and ending were all truly special. What a series this is turning out to be. The young actress which plays Leia is phenomenal for her age, one of the best child actors I’ve ever seen.  Episode 4: Return of the cringe. Star Wars once again struggling with being one of the goofiest things on the planet. Some good moments don’t get me wrong but the episode felt very underwhelming. Leia never really felt in any danger and the 3rd Sisters decision making is laughable. Kenobi uses his lightsaber very effectively and then just switches back to his blaster? Seems so silly.  Episode 5: Feels strange at this point. Really have no clue what’s going to happen in the finale. The Third Sister now knows about Luke but what’s she going to do with information? Feels stranger her goal was to kill Vader all along, she seemed pretty evil through the rest of the series. I mean it’s okay, but just wasn’t as good as I expected, hopefully the finale can pick things up.  Episode 6: Disappointing to be honest. Sure, the Vader vs Kenobi scenes are fantastic, when Kenobi lifts the stones and damages Vaders helmet is peak Star Wars. Apart from that it’s so goofy. The inquisitors are absolutely useless, the achieve nothing. The third sister is most disappointing of all for me, Reva literally is a pointless character. For some reason, other than Leia, Padme and Asoka, Star Wars finds women characters very, very difficult to write. It’s a shame. The series ends with nothing to remember bar some cool Vader vs Kenobi moments, could’ve made for a cool short film instead of entire series.  Overall it’s okay, literally the only bits worth watching are the Kenobi vs Vader moments. The young Leia is a good actress too and her scenes with Kenobi are pretty good. Apart from this the whole thing is pretty disappointing. All the inquisitors are pointless and laughably bad, some of the acting by the extras is pretty shocking, and the whole things feels drawn out. Not horrendous, but disappointing.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return

Watched for Hayden and Ewan, came out stanning Deborah Chow. Such an amazing director. Growing up as a small child watching the prequels and falling in love with them and now being an adult seeing the actors I've loved reprise their iconic roles was very emotional to experience. Everyone who has worked on this show should be proud of themselves.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return

"Hello there" Firstly, I'm sorry to anyone following me on here. I haven't been watching movies lately and now that "Obi-Wan Kenobi" is finished, I figured I would write my review for the series (albeit during my lunch break as a school teacher). Note - this review is a few days after (6/24) I initially watched it (6/22) I'll keep this one fairly short. The stuff that works, really works. The stuff that doesn't isn't awful. Ewan McGregor is fantastic as Obi-Wan. Moses Ingram and Vivien Blair are fantastic additions to the series! It's also nice to see Hayden back as Vader There are a few things I didn't like. I feel the cgi and effects work is nowhere near where it's been (both in the Sequel Trilogy and "The Mandalorian"). I also felt that this series could have been a bit more condensed than it was. While the spectacle that Star Wars typically has took a backseat, the character drama came to the forefront! Every interaction between these characters are amazing and the finale is practically one extended gut punch. I cried 3 times watching that finale (Vader and Kenobi talking, Reva lamenting her failure to avenge her youngling friends' deaths and Obi-Wan telling Leia about her parents - while her theme kicked in). I was a mess after that and it honestly elevated the entire series for me. Of course the cameo scenes helped do that too Overall, I think the Obi-Wan show was pretty damn good! Minor complaints and all EPISODE RANKING - Part 6 - Part 1 - Part 3 - Part 2 - Part 5 - Part 4
