Diary Entry forBut I'm a Cheerleader
Homophobia still exists to this day which is absolutely crazy to me, but this film tackles the subject in an interesting and fun way. The film is funny, clever with its use of stereotypes and how ridiculous they’re, and perfectly showcases how stupid homophobes are. Natasha Lyonne is great in this.

But I'm a Cheerleader
This film is full of satire, which makes it really funny. I'd say it's an iconic, must-watch queer film. The concept is pretty unique, so bonus points for that—and for the lesbianism, obviously. Also, yeah, I get it, Graham. I like girls—A LOT too. I mean, who doesn't?

But I'm a Cheerleader
I had been looking forward to watching this movie for a while, but I was not expecting it to be this great. It perfectly showcases how absolutely idiotic the very idea of conversion is. Possibly one of my favorite satires that I have ever seen. It's also not only just a great story, but it also has very good grasp of visuals. The cinematography is quite great during the film and the set design doesn't hold back either. Colors really pop in this film and I'm glad for it. Usually, I fucking hate when a movie appears campy, but I felt that this film really knew when it should be vs. when it shouldn't.
