This was pretty great. Almost everything about this creates a uneasy tension that something isn’t quiet right, at first it seems like mental health but you soon learn it’s a lot darker and more cynical than that. Ari Aster has a very unique style to his films, which can be seen in both Midsommar and this, which I’m a big fan of. All the performances are fantastic, especially Toni Collette who gives one of the best performances of the 2010s. It’s a fantastic film.
