Diary Entry forAVP: Alien vs. Predator
First half is pretty boring, second half is great. It does exactly what the title promises and gives a good backstory to how the predators pretty much rule the galaxy. Even though this isn’t cannon it’s still a fun time and I’m glad it exists, I’m surprised it’s score on here is as low as it is because there is definitely fun to be had with this film and in my opinion it’s better than some of the cannon alien and predator films we have seen.

real definition of fuck around and find out both for the humans and the predators lmao. this movie is so silly, the whole premise of it is so silly but i definitely had fun and having sanaa in here made it even more fun. cant stop laughing my ass over the fact that the predator and alexa had an unlikely bond and that when the predator died its colony gave her a weapon and left her, they didnt even offer her a ride to get out of that damn island im cryinggggg at least my girl alexa is a final 🙂↕️

Primeiramente, vai se f*der Zack Snyder. É incrível esse filme ter sido desconsiderado da cronologia de ambas as franquias para que Ridley Scott pudesse fazer suas Prequeals... Mas olha que irônico, muito da estrutura narrativa de Prometheus tá aqui. Tirando o fator predador, todo o primeiro terço desse filme é Prometheus. As indústrias Wayland antes da fusão corporativa, um bilionário a beira da morte querendo encontrar um sentido pro seu fim de vida e um texto que conecta a gênese de povos humanos a um lugar desconhecido, mas que é uma grande cilada. Esse filme é um evento em tudo que se propõe, coloca os dois maiores personagens do terror cósmico de suas épocas em um embate que tem estilo, tem uma narrativa sólida, cenas de ação muito viscerais e intercala o militarismo de Predador com o grupo de caminhoneiros do espaço de Alien de forma que todos os símbolos se unem em um evento que só cresce. Gosto da estrutura de Aliens do Cameron sendo usado na hora de focar não em uma criatura, mas em uma ninhada. Some isso a direção muito boa de Paul W. S. Anderson que dosa de forma consciente e muito boa os trechos de ação e a fisicalidade de seus embates é muito competente em demonstrar a diferença enorme os personagens humanos e os antagonistas do espaço. Filmaço.

Don’t listen to the haters, this one is actually fun! Paul W.S. Anderson brings the sauce, especially with those slo-mo shots are you kidding me?? I really like how they expand the lore of the Predator/Xenomorph history, and we get some great fight sequences between them.
