An absolutely wild time with everything you’d expect from a David Lynch film. However, everything feels toned down a notch for this one, which I believe is the least David Lynch fillm he’s ever made. Sure, it has all the craziness you’d expect, but the underlying themes are a lot more in your face. Nick Cage is a blast in this, I genuinely believe he loved filming ever scene. Laura Dern is brilliant as always, and it makes me happy this film exists. A cult classic which deserves its name and reputation.

Wild at Heart

Rock-like-hellabilly splendor, all posed and preening in a studied delirium. I'd joke about not being in Kansas anymore but they done passed that 200 miles back. And a Happy Valentines day to everyone in Big Tuna, and you.

Wild at Heart

Wild at Heart is beautifully written by David Lynch. The story isn't as complex as his other films. The soundtrack is phenomenal; I was a big fan of Wicked Game. The film's message—that we live in a brutal, broken world and yet love still exists—is beautiful. Overall, another Lynch film I thoroughly enjoyed.

Ça fait quelque chose de voir Nicholas Cage être en rôle principal dans un bon film

Wild at Heart

If I’m not being loved like this, I don’t want it. Wild at Heartis superfluous in the best way. I love how intense and overwhelming Lula and Sailor’s love for each other. It could have easily become hokey, but I found their relationship very charming. While the crime/thriller aspects of this film are interesting, it’s their connection that makes this a movie worth watching. All that said, as I become more familiar with David Lynch’s work, I’ve found myself feeling increasingly uncomfortable with the way rape is integrated into and depicted in his films. It didn’t ruin this film by any means. I believe this to be truly great. Still, I feel that the volume of sexual violence was unnecessary. Nevertheless, I thought this was a very good movie.
