Diary Entry forThe Man Who Knew Too Much
As per tradition, the first film I watched of the new year was a Hitchcock, who is still my favourite ever director. I saw his own remake of this film a few years ago, and from what I remember I enjoyed them both equally. This is a great time and Peter Lorre might well be one of the greatest faces for a villain in cinema history.

The Man Who Knew Too Much
Alfred Hitchcock's original The Man Who Knew Too Much is no doubt the lesser to 1956's renowned version starring James Stewart. This British rendition though could do with a few tidying, seeing that a number of scenes and moments wriggle in interest of engaging the audience but regrettably fail under charm. Underneath its wriggled plot nevertheless are well done performances and undoubtedly great direction. Just don't expect it to reach Psycho levels.
