Toda a base do faroeste Fordiano e os grandes filmes do Ford vieram daqui, não é o primeiro faroeste, mas é o mais influente no gênero e principalmente quando se analisa em questões de estrutura e gênero. Apesar de ser amado, ele mais parece um exercício experimental e já daqui você tem grandes takes, grandiosidade do mundo, esses 9 estranhos que compartilham um destino em comum, mas tramas pessoais tão únicas, a discussão da mulher do mundo que tem valores e honra maior e é mais altruísta que as nascidas na alta sociedade e a cena final da ação na fulga da carruagem, é um nível de ação e magnitude que o cinema só poderia sonhar àquela altura do campeonato, mas para mim o que mais se sobressai, pra bem ou pra mal, são os momentos mais íntimos de Dallas e Rico, o olhar da câmera de Ford os torna um em comunhão, não existe vida sem o outro, o rancho de Rico não tem vida sem Dallas e Dallas não existe sem Rico. Poderia falar sobre a questão da forma como o diretor trabalha os indígenas, os selvagens, e tal qual um filme que está experimentando sua abordagem beira o mal gosto, mas é aquilo não existe Sangue de Heróis sem Nos Tempos da Diligência e quem dirá um Rastros e Ódio e olha que Rastros de Ódio compartilha das mesmas problemáticas, porém abordados por um John Ford mais maduro na sua encenação!

Stagecoach

Stagecoach is action-packed, a classic western, and simply cool to watch. Ringo just has aura in this film. I saw the 1939 colorized version, and in my opinion, it looked very good. Overall, a cool western with John Wayne, lighthearted and easygoing, which I would rate 3.7/5.

So many intriguing characters in a predicament that only can be seen in westerns, Stagecoachstands out as a western that is more devoted to character work than action, which makes it stand out, even among the likes of other major westerns.

When it comes to westerns, I have not been a fan. I love the general idea of a western, but haven't really found any film to be particularly memorable. Stagecoach is a western that I have been meaning to watch for a long time, and finally decided that it was time, since I really want to diversify what I watch in 2018. I need to start watching more westerns and Stagecoach seemed like a natural place to start. Surprisingly, it's actually quite a decent film. There were points in the middle that seemed to drag a little, but Ford's direction would always end up bringing me back in and sucking me back into the story. It's not the most memorable film out there, but it's certainly far from a bad film. This definitely was a great place to start for westerns and I hope to start appreciating westerns a little more this year.
