This could quite possibly be the worst film I watch this year. Pretty much terrible for the whole duration and it somehow manages to even be boring, despite all the silliness going on. Didn’t enjoy this at all and you can see why no many watched this. At least my girlfriend enjoyed it so that made watching it worth it.

Mortdecai was surprisingly funny, in some parts! Gwyneth Paltrow and Johnny Depp had some good chemistry, which lead to some pretty funny jokes! Once Mortdecai got to the States, the film started to get more funny. There was a decent plot, but nothing too special. Things kept going and kept changing, so at least it kept you engaged! Johnny Depp's accent for this nearly killed me. From the start of the film it annoyed me! I was hoping that it was just a thing for the narration, but I was wrong... it just kept bothering me throughout the film. I enjoyed how most of the jokes weren't based around crudeness. Most of the comedies today are more crude than actually funny, making it really uncomfortable to watch with other people. There were a few crude jokes, but not so many that it made you really uncomfortable. Overall, Mortdecai is one of the more decent comedies I have seen over the past few years. Johnny Depp's accent was ghastly, but it kinda makes up for it throughout the film.
