I really enjoyed this film. Yes, the writing is terrible. Yes, there are some truly awful characters. And yes, there are some moments which make you cringe to your core. But overall there is so much fun to be had while watching this. It’s entertaining from the first minute to the last, the CGI is actually pretty amazing and Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are both fantastic in this. They both give everything they’ve got and it really shows. Dane DeHaan as Harry is probably the worst part of this whole thing for me, in my opinion he’s a terrible actor and the role he’s playing doesn’t make it any better. He’s probably the most poorly written character in any of the live action Spider-Man films. Jamie Foxx is solid as Electro, I just feel his character was under-utilised and could’ve been so much better. That’s how I feel about this whole film, the ideas are all there it’s just the execution which failed, but I still really enjoyed watching this and would happily watch it again.
