Diary Entry forTitanic
An unbelievable film with massive scope, Titanic achieves everything it sets out to do. The ending for me works really well, it seems most people are split between loving and hating it and I’m comfortably in the former. All the acting is obviously fantastic and the horror of the event is portrayed very well. The only thing I didn’t overly enjoy was the run time, I don’t mind long films when they don’t feel long but this definitely felt enormous. Still, a fantastic film.

Simplesmente cinema sendo a arte que transmite essa tragédia de forma melodramática e muito técnica sem soar pedante ou mecânico. Jack ama Rose e vice-versa. Todo o romance que se constrói do choque de classes, do sentido de prisão por uma criação aristocrática e até quando tudo está despedaçando, literalmente, o James Cameron é um velho safado e cria aqueles 10 minutinhos finais que é algo que só o cinema poderia fazer. É a encenação de um final perfeito que só o cinema pode preservar. É a memória de indivíduos que não tem registro, ficam na memória e só o cinema pode reproduzir e preservar. Lindo, choro que nem uma cachorra sempre!
