This 13 minute short is Wes Anderson’s first film, with a low budget and poor sound quality. The film is good though, and you can easily see Tarantino was a big influence. A good start.

Bottle Rocket

After finishing "Bottle Rocket" (1996), I decided to watch the original short that inspired it. It featured key moments from the beginning of the feature film version but they aren't as refined as they'd later appear The black and white cinematography works really well here with some stunning shots and the jazz music adds to the aesthetic. It feels ripped straight from the 50's/60's It's interesting to see the original short film of what would later become Wes Anderson's first feature film and I loved seeing how scenes later changed If you want to watch it, it's available for free on Youtube!!

Bottle Rocket

❝Let's get lucky.❞ ⊱ ──── . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. ──── ⊰ ranking wes anderson's filmography ⋆.˚༄ (https://boxd.it/SoFy4) A nice short film that sets the stage for its descendant with the same name. It's evident right from the very start that Wes Anderson and the Wilson brothers are destined for stardom, and oh boy, what a journey and filmography they've produced between them.

Bottle Rocket

It was neat to see what was carried over to the full film.  Besides that, it’s a short and his first work so with that in mind, it’s decent.  5.5/10
