Diary Entry forFunny Face
A few iconic scenes and a solid performance by Hepburn can’t save this disaster of a film. There is little to no chemistry between the leads, but this isn’t surprising as there is a massive difference in age. It’s kind of disgusting. Audrey is literally a child compared to Fred Astaire. I know this is common in old Hollywood, but in this it’s very noticeable and off putting. All the songs are awful, the dance scenes are also awful and the script is a joke. It’s ment to be funny, but it’s not. Honestly this maybe the most overrated film ever made. If you take Audrey Hepburn out of this and replace her with a lesser known actress then nobody would enjoy this film. The iconic scenes of her in nice dressers are the only reason this gets a 3/10.

Cineclub in the Boxxd #38.
Funny Face
was wondering why this movie was called Funny Face and its because a fashion lady thought Audrey Hepburn, of all people, had a "funny" face, like woman be serious! also, i had to pause the movie so i could go watch that old Gap Commercial lol.
Funny Face
RIP Stanley Donen, I've always loved his visuals and the colour palatte he chose that somehow blend into the actors-actress' personalities. Gonna miss him so much x
Funny Face
