Really enjoyed this. Sure, it’s silly and not scary in the slightest, but it’s such a fun time. Jodi Lyn O'Keefe might be the most attractive person to ever appear on screen in this, which makes every scene with her in a very enjoyable watch. Laurie is absolutely crazy in this, but it works well and makes sense for her character. Definitely the best Halloween sequel I’ve seen so far. Watched alone at the Picture House Cinema, Keighley, and it was amazing. Before the film started one of the staff members walked around dressed as a hyper realistic Michael Myers, selling sweets and popcorn. It was a great experience and a great cinema I'd recommend visiting if you’re in the area. Also, going to the cinema alone for the first time was pretty fun, I had a good time despite everyone else in there being coupled up. Still, a good time.

Halloween H20: 20 Years Later
20 anos se passaram desde que Michael Myers cometeu o assassinatos em Handofield na noite de Halloween. Laurie se casou, teve um filho e mudou de nome como forma de superar os eventos de seu passado. Mas a paranóia de que Michael ainda vive a assombra e tal paranóia se prova real. Tendo como maior atrativo o retorno de sua protagonista, esse filme que desconsidera todas as sequências dos dois primeiros filmes vêm como uma forma de mostrar que a franquia aprendeu com seus acertos e erros e se dedica a explorar o trauma e a paranóia de sua protagonista. Infelizmente tal façanha se perde no meio de um filme que possui personagens que, talvez com excessão do segurança de sua casa que é mais um personagem que serve como alívio cômico sendo ciente dos clichês de produções de terror, os demais personagens servem mais como vítimas para o antagonista do que de fato adições expressivas ao elenco. Somado a estar preso a sustos fáceis e telegrafados, os famosos Jumpscares, esse filme abandona o suspense de outrora por sustos rápidos e igualmente rapidamente esquecíveis. E a promessa de ser um reencontro de Laurie com Michael... O encontro se prova assertivo até certo ponto apelando pra um embate que mais parece uma sequência de filme de ação dos anos 90 do que qualquer coisa. É muito satisfatório ver a Laurie indo de vítima a sobrevivente que luta por si própria, mas a espera pra esse momento, apesar de compensar, ainda é uma espera que poderia ser adiantada e o final extendido para gerar catarse, funciona, mas percebe-se que antes dele existe uma barriga que não precisava existir. Enfim, Halloween de 2000 ou H20, é um filme que se propõe a encerrar a história de Laurie e Michael com seus principais rostos, mas que é capenga em alguns pontos, porém pra quem é fã, pode achar ele bem agradável até certo ponto. Um filme okay!

In spite of itself, we remain entertained. Worst mask; he's just some nu-metal dude. Whole thing looks like a television production, the setting and characters feel so sparse and chintzy. Far as "Legacy Laurie" throughlines go that's certainly it's strongest point and rests easily on Curtis' shoulders.

Night 15 of 31 Nights of Halloween Halloween H20 definitely is a disaster of a film, but one that I can't help but enjoy. This is one of the later films in the Halloween series, so it's not the best of the series, but it's certainly not the worst. Laurie Strode is back, and we get into the same plot as every other film, but Michael seems to get a little more terrifying with every film, and really is horrifying here. I typically have a sour taste in my mouth when I think of the later films in the Halloween series, but this one was a good time, especially when watching it with other people who enjoy it, and happen to be frightened of Michael. Watching this has made me so excited for Halloween in a couple of days, and I cannot wait to see what they do with it.
