Diary Entry forCube
A unique idea and a good plot, cube has everything a lot going for it. Except the acting. It’s the worst acting I’ve ever seen. Like ever. It’s almost so bad it’s funny, but the story makes it impossible to be funny so it’s just odd. Great concept, bad acting.

"For Christ's sake, Worth, what do you live for? Do you have a wife, or a girlfriend, or something?" "Nope. I've gotta pretty fine collection of pornography." One of my go-to comfort movies for bedtime, and had to show Bee and get their opinion. Loved listening to their reactions to the traps, and the entire overall theme.

HOOPTOBER #11 A CANADIAN FILM _______ two hooptobers in one day? unheard of. listen i am trying to catch up here. probably goes without saying that i enjoy a good sort of “escape room” movie. i mean, i have rewatched Saw (2004) ten million bajillion times. this seems to be a bit of an earlier venture into that kind of horror subgenre and it’s uh. interesting? the initial premise is interesting enough (opening scene definitely hooks your interest) but eventually it sort of runs out of steam. the characters are pretty hard to get into because some of the acting isn’t all that great and tbh besides a few of them it was hard to find them super interesting or likable. the cop guy going psycho kind of felt out of nowhere, i mean i get what they were going for but the switch up isn’t done well. is it probably weird that they pull the autistic savant trope on us? Yeahhhhhhhhhhh probably. but who am i to say this stuff. i am glad that he makes it to the end though because he seemed like a pretty nice guy. i guess they should have told us in school that one of the things we would need to use math for in the future would be Potential Death Traps.

Well done for the most part, though the actors aren’t the greatest, and the budget shows it’s seams at times, it’s still a good time.
