A monument of a film with one of the best battle sequences ever filmed, LOTRs part 2 is nearly as good as the first, just slightly behind in my rankings. Some of the is absolutely peak, but I can’t enjoy the scenes with the tree people (yes I know they’re not trees), as all their scenes feel like pure filler. Sure, it somewhat pays off at the end, but still isn’t enjoyable to sit through. Get us back at the battle for Helms Deep!
