The bling ring definitely isn’t Sofia Coppolas best film, it’s probably my least favourite of hers so far. This feels like it was an early film in her filmography, I was amazed when I checked the date this released. Sofia has much better films prior to this and since this, so I just find it maybe a bit of a misstep. The story is somewhat interesting but the acting from most of the cast leaves a lot to be desired. There also isn’t one good shot in this, everything looks bland and uninteresting. I wish I liked it more but it’s really just quite mediocre, Sofia is one of my favourite directors and I was disappointed by the end. PS, the fashion is absolutely horrific but that isn’t the films fault.
