Diary Entry forJackie Brown
This has always been my least favourite Quentin Tarantino film and I’m still not sure why. I just find the whole thing doesn’t really go anywhere. Feel like a fraud for saying that, don’t get me wrong I still enjoy watching this and think it’s a good time, Pam Grier is fantastic but the rest of the cast all just seem so boring to me. When you think of De Niro roles or SLJ roles I’d bet nobody thinks of this film. It’s good but I wouldn’t call it much more than that.

Jackie Brown
I never knew Samuel L. Jackson could rock a ponytail like that, always a great time when he gets to do his thing on screen.
Jackie Brown
Criminally underrated when it comes to Tarantino's filmography
Jackie Brown
Auteurs: Quentin Tarantino Tarantino’s third film Jackie Brown is his first achievement in total greatness. With a tight script, fantastic acting, and a good grip on characterization, this film succeeds on every level. For the longest time, this was my forgotten Tarantino film, but will easily come to mind now when discussing Tarantino’s filmography. It’s an impressive feature, with Tarantino starting to refine his craft to create stunning features.
Jackie Brown
Film #11 of August 2017 Scavenger Hunt Task #28: Watch a film featuring a song/songs by Johnny Cash. Finally, I have completed Quentin Tarantino's filmography. Having intended to watch this film years ago, it's nice to finally have seen Jackie Brown, the Tarantino film that I barely knew existed. But, now that I've seen the film, all of Tarantino's distinct staples still are there. The writing is quick and concise, the direction has his typical shots, it just feels like one of Tarantino's films, even though it does feel a tad dated today. It's still an extremely interesting take on gangster themed movies with some incredible actors and a plot that I absolutely fell in love with. It's an odd feeling knowing I've finished Tarantino's filmography, but I'm happy to finally have seen Jackie Brown.
