The worst Rambo so far, for me the original three are classics, with great action scenes. This however wasn’t so great. The brutality has been turned up by about 100, with some truly savage scenes in this. The plot is almost non existent, which isn’t usually an issue, but this just felt ridiculous. There are multiple characters who are just annoying for no reason. Plus Rambos failed love interest with the blonde girl felt very awkward. Overall, this still has a few good scenes here and there, such as the bow scene, but it’s a far cry from the original trilogy.

Rambo
You know what the last two films were missing? Rambo going to another random country because someone needs help to fight a random war lmao. 2, 3 and 4 all have the same plot basically lol. Rambo is done with fighting then he decides to fight again because someone needs help. I get he's a war vet and all but the first film literally took place in a small town. At least this time around it was greatly changed. The more modern late 2000's vibe added to this makes it seem a lot more like rambo. It feels dark, gritty and bloody. The massive increase in gore and blood was also a nice addition considering the last 3 weren't this graphic. Some of these kills actually can rival ones I've seen in horror movies. The story this time as I said is getting a bit repetitive. However I can say most of this felt fresh. The side characters were more enjoyable than 3, most of these were basic but there was a few standouts like Lewis. The villians in this were kinda boring but they did do well in making me dislike them. The action this time felt very different compared to previous films. There was so many insane kills I couldn't even notice what was happening sometimes. For most of this it just waits and waits until Rambo finally goes into crazy mode. The giant battle scene at the end was too chaotic for me tbh. It had weird editing and I was confused for a bit. I still liked that part though. I just wish it focused more on individual kills than giant battle kills. Rambo still somehow survives the craziest things lol, he literally survived a nuclear bomb in this. Considering there's one more film besides the prequel, rambo's character arc has been war retire, war retire, and so on lmao. I hope last blood does something new or even the upcoming film. Despite my complaints this was still an enjoyable, graphic and fun time. Not bad for a rambo sequel but could've been better.

yeah man i guess. stallone at his worst is still more competent than 90% of filmmakers and it keeps this watchable. could be worse!
