Diary Entry forSin City
I went into this film with high expectations and, well, it was okay. Some parts of the film are amazing, the best scenes being in old town, but others were boring in places. The best character is Miho and I would happily watch a film about all about her.

Sin City
A few years ago, I secretly held Sin City as my favorite film of all time. It's been almost 4 years since I last watched this film, so I knew that it was time to revisit one of my favorite movies. Comic book adaptations usually go over my head, since I don't get the references, but coming back to this makes me want to read the series and see how close the film is to the source material. The dark, gritty realism is something that I've always loved, as Watchmen captures this same aesthetic and is my favorite superhero film, as well as comic book adaptation. Throughout the film, everything just seems to work together, the aesthetic of the film really ties all of the stories together to create a visually stunning and entertaining film. There are so many lines throughout the film that I had forgotten but whispered as I watched it again, making it really feel like I was at home. Sin City definitely is not for everyone, it does have its flaws, but I can overlook those because this truly is one of my personal favorite films of all time.

Heureusement ya la partie avec Clive Owens
Sin City
73/100 Shit if Jessica Alba was my… I prefer not to speak. This film is style, this is noir by definition. Three fun bloody stories filled with murder, vengeance and sexy fucking women. Man the women in this film will make you mad - Carla Gugino had no reason to be nude but I thank you ma’am for you have provided one of the hottest looks in film history. That is a perfect woman right there. Jessica Alba I already spoke too much, Jaime King was a goddess and Devon Aoki was the sexiest killer I’ve seen. To add to that, you’ve got the men who were some real men. Felt sad just looking at Bruce Willis because of his condition now, man I miss him, such a charismatic actor. Mickey Rourke really put in the work and I’d say his storyline was the most entertaining. Clive Owen was a true feminist or maybe just hella horny for Rosario Dawson. And finally Elijah Wood you had no business playing such a vile motherfucker so well and those glasses man!!! Anyway, I’ll keep singing praises of how cool everyone looks in this film and how cool the film looks in general but while the stories are fun, they’re just made too fanatically, the dialogue didn’t have to match the tone of the comics because I’m assuming that’s how it is. This could’ve been treated like an actual movie with the style of the comics as they did an excellent job with. And what’s up with the voices of Bruce, Benecio and Mickey sounding all the same, like was there one “manly” voice template that they all had to follow? I liked Clive Owen the best because he was different and realistically badass. The true stars of this film are obviously the editors and the cinematographers because this film was made in post.
