Diary Entry forNightmare Alley
Fantastic performances, beautiful cinematography and clever storytelling make for an enjoyable watch. It’s quite long and does go on at points, some scenes could’ve easily been cut, but overall it was very enjoyable, not masterpiece but a fun time.

Nightmare Alley
To be honest, this film has an interesting story. It really shows how greed slowly consumes people and turns them into fools. The plot was insanely good because the main character eventually became something his past self would never have expected.
Nightmare Alley
Ha, what do you know, another fucking solid noir! Del Toro leaning all the way into it, sliding slyly past the "Icarus" tone of the original and torpedoing straight for some haunted tar pit of the damned. (Yours for a mere $0.25!) I like the way he'll give you yer damn archetypes, but then nibble at them down to a bloody mess, genre standees mingling with heavy-hearted human bodies. For my money, at least, it improves on the already excellent original in every way with greater character complexities, histories, consequences, and dark carny atmosphere out the wazoo.
Nightmare Alley
