Not as good as the first but still by no means a bad film. The back story of the Candyman is interesting and I like Annie was related to the Candyman. Where this falls short is in the plot. It’s very similar to the first film. Blonde haired women summons Candyman, he doesn’t kill her because he’s got ‘plans for her’ and then proceeds to kill everyone she loves. The ending was also better in the first one, in this one it’s a bit strange with the children rescuing their teacher from a muddy pool of water. Not bad but not great.

Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh
Uma ótima sequência, tem seus problemas mas é muito sólida, ela expande um pouco os horizontes da história original, trás um background do Candyman e até nos mostra o que tanto queriamos ver no primeiro, mas no final do dia segue o mesmo roteiro e fórmula do primeiro filme: alguém investigando e sendo perseguido pelo Candyman, eu gosto de como interligam os dois filmes e esse tem momentos bem divertidos, eu dei 3,5 porque eu realmente me entreti muito com a protagonista, mas não é nada demais.

A competent, if somewhat less inspired sequel.
