Beautiful camera work and fantastic acting, this is undoubtedly a classic. The film had a certain feel throughout which is so enjoyable to watch but yet so concerning for the young boy. His parents fail him, as does his teachers, and the poor kid has to fend for himself for large parts of this. It’s easy to underestimate how difficult this situation must be, the film is great and well worth watching.
