This feels like a mix up of several films with no real back bone. Sure, the acting is good, and visual effects are not terrible for the 50s, but the story is weak at best. There is very little of the 50 foot women, and most of the time she looks like a ghost. The 30 foot man never gets explained but radiation has something to do with this whole ordeal. It’s not the greatest but it’s not terrible, mainly watched because of Lana Del Reys music video of Doin’ Time.

Admito que a premissa é mais instigante que o filme em si e ele tem uns tropos que caem em um campo misógino da "Mulher bêbada e histérica" em prol de um homem canalha e que fica bebendo e dançando com a amante até o fim onde o karma alienígena recai sobre ele, mas não sem antes afetar psicologicamente e fisicamente a protagonista que era uma mulher enjaulada e que a cidade tentou a todo custo proteger o canalha galante. Tem um charme estético por ser um filme de "monstro", inclusive com referencia a Godzilla e tudo, mas o verdadeiro monstro são as mulheres amargas que encontramos no caminho que são vítimas de um gigante cósmico tirado direto de um livro sobre frenologia. Manuela Dias deve ter baforado muito esse na hora de refazer Vale Tudo, quem entender entendeu!

i had high hopes for this film but even as a lover of bad movies, i did not enjoy this.
