I’ve always liked the idea behind this film, and after watching I can say I did really enjoy it. However, the kid named Charlie is the most annoying character ever, and almost ruins the whole movie. Without him this would be a 10. Still a good film though.

A microcosm of the Purge universe that left me wanting more. Some great acting by Lena Headey and Ethan Hawke but focusing on one home invasion for one guy was certainly a choice! With the short runtime I guess that’s what they could do but again, a choice. It would’ve been way more interesting to have overlapping stories or stories running concurrently. Theft, arson, etc, so much potential. Then again, great concept executed well with what we did have. Not scary at all
