This could’ve been great, as Emma Stone is fantastic as Gwen and Andrew Garfield does have a certain charm to him. What let’s this down is the bad writing and bad villain. The Lizard isn’t really cool or scary, just kind of disgusting. The writing is also very cringe, with lines so cheesy you almost throw up. Andrew Garfields performance isn’t very good, and I don’t think he’s a very good actor, but he does pour his heart and soul into the role which definitely goes a long way. It’s not awful, but it’s nothing great, Uncle Ben’s death was very sad though.
