1976 Blaxploitation New Orleans horror/thriller is what you’d imagine it to be like. It’s fun, enjoyable and an easy watch, with good performances and well written dialogue. The film is in no way scary though and I’m not sure how this has a horror tag attached to it. This feels in many ways like a predecessor to Candyman, with both having leads live double lives. The scariest thing about this is the wig Ike’s wig, which is hilarious. It’s by no means a masterpiece, but for Hooptober it was a pretty good time.
