For all the shit this film gets because it doesn’t have Bourne in, I actually quite enjoyed it. I think if they marketed this as a spin off instead of a main series title it’d get a lot more credit. My biggest gripe with the film is its runtime, it really drags towards the end which is a shame because the first hour or so is fantastic. Still enjoyed this more than some of the other ‘Bourne’ films.

The Bourne Legacy

“I was kind of hoping we were lost.” I retract all previous statements about this film.THE BOURNE LEGACY is good, actually. And it’s far more interesting textually than Supremacy. A story about a discarded “military asset” choosing to live, choosing to become a person, and reclaiming the ability to decide for himself. A metaphor for how the government subsumes and conscripts its citizens into their military industrial complex and then spits them out when they’re no longer of use? With Gilroy holding the pen, it’s more than likely. Renner isn’t too bad here either.
