Diary Entry forThe King's Speech
An enjoyable film, would’ve been better if Bertie was more likeable, I get that he’s a royal and they’re all stuck up (as you would be), but it’s annoying to see how ungrateful and patronising he is at times. Still, the scene where he gives the speech is pretty great, and the film overall is a fun watch.

The King's Speech
The King's Speech displays the determination of a man to get over a disability that had hindered him all of his life. With this film, you get a look into the hardship of becoming a king, while also dealing with speech problems. Colin Firth was amazing. I couldn't imagine how difficult it must have been to try to talk with the stutter, but he was able to pull it off beautifully. Geoffrey Rush portrayed his speech therapist, who was able to get him to build up the confidence to speak. They had a lot of chemistry, which made their friendship seem even more real. This is deemed as a film that "old people" may watch, but it's not. It shows determination, hardship, and the patience of those around. We all can learn from this film. The King's Speech is an amazing view into the life of the King, but also into the life of a person dealing with a disability that he can't seem to overcome.

I got to watch this for a school assignment. Great film choice i must admit
The King's Speech
Colin Firth was awesome in this. Geoffrey Rush was even better. For a movie that could seem boring, this was far from it. Acting battle with each elevating the other. Great movie with the historical WW2 backdrop. Great comedic moments throughout the film and just very well made. And hey kids, you don’t need a degree to alter the course of history. 8.6
