This Bond has the best opening scene I’ve seen in any film, with a good plot all the way through. Roger Moore was great as always and the XXX secret agent was a great change for a Bond film, with a women being an agent.

The Spy Who Loved Me

God these Moore Bonds are a caustic nuthin' so far. Eat him already, Jaws, chew 'em up! An unexpected narrative mirror setup to You Only Live Twice, and was that even the same monorail shot? Well, they added a painfully chemistry-less and vacant spies-to-lovers layer on top. The villain is just kinda' there, momentarily elevated with the scale of those sets. The sights and lights in Egypt and Jaws-as-force-of-nature steal any of the show that's left.

The Spy Who Loved Me

the most “blockbuster” a bond movie has felt since goldfinger, maybe more so
