Diary Entry forDon't Worry Darling

One of the strangest films of the year for a myriad of reasons, DWD wasn’t the worst or best. For me, the acting really wasn’t as bad as people are making out, sure Harry Styles wasn’t good, but he was nowhere near as bad as some people say. Should he be in films which star people as talented as Pugh? No, because it shows the gulf in talent, but for lower budget films or series I don’t think he’d stand out as badly. The story is very strange, and incel culture is portrayed relatively well here by all accounts. It’s very dark but doesn’t explore anything nearly enough for the audience to care. The themes could’ve been much more interesting if we’d of found out more. It leaves A LOT up to interpretation which doesn’t really work for a film like this. Why tell the audience that they’d be coming for her in real life and then just end the film as soon as she escapes the simulation? It seems like it’s lining up for a sequel but I very highly doubt we’ll ever get one. It looks very good, some of the cinematography is good, but apart from that it’s a mess.

Don't Worry Darling

"Don’t Worry Darling" starts off kinda slow, but it gets real interesting in the second half with that mystery plot. But man, The answers they gave were just plain lame. Nice concept, but they totally screwed it up.

Don't Worry Darling
