A good film and a great debut, didn’t really have the same emotional impact on me as it seems it did many others. A slow story of love and friendship which feels very personal. Great acting and cinematography.

In this movie, romance isn't the main focus. Even though there are hints of romance, the director manages to steer clear of the clichés you often see in similar films. Instead, "Past Lives" takes you on a thought-provoking ride about identity and how we connect with our past. The film really drives home the idea that choosing our own path, even if it means leaving behind parts of ourselves we're used to, is crucial. When it comes to acting, the cast really nails their roles, bringing their characters to life in a powerful and natural way. Kudos to the director for digging deep into the characters' emotions. All in all, "Past Lives" is an impressive cinematic experience that leads you on a journey of deep contemplation about love, who we are, and how our past influences us.
