Wasn’t expecting much, in fact I thought this would be terrible, but to be fairs it’s not the worst thing in the world. Sure, it’s not great or even close to being, but Halle Bailey did a great job, as did all the voice acting. I though the water scenes looked strange and not really under water at all, also some of the songs were pretty bad, but yeah it’s fine.

I really like the movie, ngl in my opinion, it's the best live-action Disney princess movie so far. The underwater visuals are absolutely stunning, and the CGI is impressive. Halle Bailey's performance and her singing are top-notch. I also enjoyed Melissa McCarthy's portrayal of Ursula. My favorite part of the film is when Sebastian and Ariel sing "Under the Sea." However, I felt a bit uncomfortable by this film because Disney went overboard in trying to make the film overly diverse. Overall, the movie was great, and I highly recommend it to Disney fans.

i can’t tell you how much this movie made me so happy, i was literally smiling from ear to ear the whole time. i haven’t seen the animated movie in so long but i don’t remember having the time of my life watching it the way i did with this one. halle bailey is such a joy to watch, so charismatic, expressive, and so so so talented like can y’all hear that voice? fucking insane. halle and jonah’s chemistry has been proven since the junkets started but seeing it on screen as eric and ariel? oh it was incredible, they make me feel so happy and warm. melissa was eating as ursula too, she was fucking incredible!!! i would’ve loved to see more from the sisters, like maybe a song number with ariel, although i understand that the movie is not about them but i think it would be fun to see the dynamic between them more. anyway its literally just a perfect perfect movie like halle really did ariel a favor cause she really just made her a top 5 princess. also to that weirdo who rated this movie half stars because of awkwafina’s rap, you’re never seeing heaven cause scuttle is not even in the movie most of the time.

this was so good the chemistry between halle and jonah MY GOD like i want them to do the sequels just so we can get more of them and i also want a spinoff with the mermaid sisters. minus one star for lin-manuel miranda making that song for awkwafina
